Information about the producer: First and foremost, our company is a family, and the family is the homeland of the heart. It is the house in which to live and evolve, in harmony with the universe of which we are a part. Young and old, grandchildren and grandparents; every day since end of the 19th century, here in Roero, our joy of life has poured out onto the land, onto the green fortune that grows beneath our feet. Love and gratitude; for generations we have been united by a bond as strong as a promise. A cleaner world, for out children and those that follow them. We know; “If you believe, you can”. This is why we have always been here. We live under the sky. We love it and will never stop.
The producer’s personal opinion about the product:Stephan Von Neipperg (owner of the famous Château Canon la Gaffelière, Mondotte in Saint Emilion, co-owner of GUIRAUD), in partnership with Dr. Karl-Heinz Hauptmann, was one of the first to invest in the Pazardjik region, located 135 km south-east of Sofia. The land, replanted with Bordeaux grape varieties and eventually with local varieties, benefits from the philosophy of Vignobles Comtes Von Neipperg. The Neipperg family has been cultivating vines and producing wines for 800 years. The Bessa Valley project has been advised by Bordeaux oenologist Marc Dworkin since its inception, who is also oenologist for Alira (Romania) and Nine Peaks (China). He worked for seventeen years for famous French wineries such as Château Clarke, Cote Montpezat, Château Larmande and Château Bellefont-Belcier. Marc Dworkin arrived in Bulgaria in 1999 as a consultant, and has contributed to the revival of Bulgarian wines.
